The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) became available in the local government areas of Sunshine Coast, Noosa and Gympie on 1 January 2019.
The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life.
People who are eligible for NDIS support are called participants. Each participant will have their own funds and a personalised NDIS plan that identifies:
the outcomes they wish to achieve
the supports that will be funded by the NDIS
other supports they need.
Nambour & District Care is a registered provider for some support areas. A provider is an individual or organisation delivering a support or a product to a participant of the NDIS. Registered providers of supports have met requirements regarding qualifications, approvals, experience and capacity for the approved supports. Innovation community participation
Queensland Community Care (QCC)
For people who are under 65 years of age and who are not eligible for support through the NDIS, Nambour & District Care can help. We are authorised by the Queensland Government to complete in-home assessments to determine the type and level of support that a person requires. Once one of our qualified staff has completed your in-home assessment, our team will be able to allocate government funding through the Queensland Community Care funding scheme to best meet your individual needs.
